Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and FinLit IQ, Inc. ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") governing your access to and use of the FinLit IQ mobile application (the "App") on iOS and Android devices.
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Educational Purpose Only – No Financial or Investment Advice
FinLit IQ is a financial education platform designed to help users improve financial literacy.
The App does not provide investment advice, financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, brokerage services, or fiduciary services.
All chatbot responses, lessons, activities, document analyses, and content are provided for informational and educational purposes only. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.
You should consult licensed professionals before making financial, investment, or tax decisions.
2. Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer
The App includes AI-generated content and chatbot responses.
- AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated.
- AI responses are automated and not reviewed by licensed professionals.
- You should independently verify information before relying on it.
Use of AI-generated information is at your own risk.
3. App Store and Google Play Acknowledgement
iOS Users
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and FinLit IQ, Inc., not Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and has the right to enforce them against you.
Android Users
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and FinLit IQ, Inc., not Google LLC. Google is not responsible for the App or its content.
4. Account Registration and Security
You must register using a valid email address. Authentication is performed via one-time password (OTP) sent to your email.
You are responsible for maintaining access to your email account and for all activity under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.
5. User Content and Uploaded Materials
You may voluntarily upload financial documents or share personal information.
You represent that:
- You have the legal right to share the information.
- The information does not violate any law or third-party rights.
We may extract relevant data and delete uploaded documents after processing.
We are not responsible for decisions made based on uploaded materials.
6. Virtual Items, Rewards, and Gamification
The App includes gamified features such as:
- Stars (cumulative awards)
- Medals (achievement-based awards)
- Nuggets (redeemable virtual items)
Nuggets may be earned or purchased through in-app purchases.
Virtual items have no monetary value, are non-transferable, non-refundable except where required by law, and may not be redeemed for cash.
We may modify, revoke, or discontinue rewards at any time.
7. In-App Purchases and Payments
All in-app purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Payments are subject to the terms and conditions of Apple or Google.
- Refund requests must be submitted through the applicable app store unless otherwise required by law.
- We do not store full credit card information.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that engage in fraudulent payment activity.
8. Advertising
The App displays advertisements via Google AdMob. We do not control the content of advertisements and are not responsible for advertised products or services.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for illegal purposes
- Upload unlawful or fraudulent content
- Attempt to reverse engineer or interfere with the App
- Exploit reward systems or referral programs
- Engage in harassment or harmful conduct
Violation may result in account termination.
10. Privacy and Data Handling
Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy.
We may disclose information if required by subpoena, court order, government request, or to protect legal rights.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE."
We disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FinLit IQ, Inc. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the preceding 12 months.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FinLit IQ, Inc. and its affiliates from claims arising out of your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the App at any time for violations, fraud, abuse, or legal requirements.
15. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Except where prohibited by law, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis.
You waive the right to participate in class actions.
This clause does not limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which FinLit IQ, Inc. is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
17. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance.
