- App usage data (session frequency, duration, features used)

C. Sensitive Information
We do not request Social Security numbers, bank login credentials, brokerage account login credentials, or credit card numbers directly. However, such information may appear in documents you voluntarily upload. When documents are uploaded, we extract only the necessary data and typically delete the original documents shortly thereafter.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the App
- Authenticate users via email-based one-time password (OTP)
- Maintain chat history and provide AI-powered financial guidance
- Track course progress, rewards, streaks, and achievements
- Manage gamification features (Stars, Medals, Nuggets)
- Process in-app purchases
- Administer referral programs
- Improve app functionality and user experience
- Detect fraud, scams, and misuse
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Gamification and Rewards
FinLit IQ includes a gamification system where users may earn:
- Stars (cumulative awards)
- Medals (one-time awards)
- Nuggets (redeemable virtual rewards with no monetary value)
Nuggets may be earned through app engagement, watching advertisements, referrals, completing lessons, or via in-app purchases. Nuggets can be redeemed for benefits such as ad-free chatbot sessions, ad-free learning sessions, or streak extensions.
4. Advertising
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the App. AdMob may collect and use data in accordance with its own privacy policies. We encourage you to review Google's Privacy Policy for more information.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We use third-party services to operate and improve the App, including:
- Cloudflare (hosting and infrastructure)
- Neon (PostgreSQL database services)
- Expo Push Services (push notifications)
- Sentry (error logging and monitoring)
- Google AdMob (advertising)
These providers may have access to limited data necessary to perform their functions but are contractually obligated to safeguard your information.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide services. Uploaded documents are typically processed and deleted shortly after relevant data extraction.
Chat history, course progress, referral data, and purchase records are retained while your account remains active unless you request deletion.
